The new NFL league year is officially here. Other than the surprise restructure of Aaron Jones, in the moments leading up to the start of free agency, the Minnesota Vikings have processed moves that had previously been announced .
Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargrave have both been released and Harrison Smith's timeline to decide on retirement has been pushed back , after the Vikings filed for him to be released on June 1.
Other than those moves, which had already been reported, the biggest news of the afternoon was the official release of Kyler Murray from his contract with the Arizona Cardinals. Of course, that wasn't news either, since that had been widely reported as imminent, as well.

However, Dianna Russini (The Athletic) updated the situation with a new wrinkle in the Minnesota Vikings mutual interest in signing Murray.
Unlike what we were told on Tuesday, the Minnesota Vikings' meeting with Kyler Murray will be in-person, at TCO Performance Center in Eagan, not virtual. Included in his visit itinerary will be a physical.
Now that Kyler Murray's release from the Cardinals is official, the Minnesota Vikings are expected to target him as a veteran addition to their QB room, sources tell The Athletic. He will be taking a visit to Minnesota and getting a physical. pic.twitter.com/ujNwCsqCIu

His physical visit doesn't guarantee that Kyler Murray will sign in Minnesota, but it certainly makes it even more likely. To put it simply, he isn't coming here unless he's getting ready to sign on the dotted line, which is why we probably won't hear of any more in-person visits scheduled, unless something goes awry while he is at TCO.
Since Murray has been released, media members across the league have confirmed the Minnesota Vikings' interest the former Cardinals quarterback. The only question now, is whether or not this visit seals the deal, like most expect.
However, as the league learned again this week, when the previously agreed upon Maxx Crosby deal between Las Vegas and Baltimore fell through , is that nothing is guaranteed during the offseason until it is signed in ink.
