Arizona only scored three points in the second quarter compared to the Giants' 16. To top it off, they were called for a penalty with around 8:27 left in the quarter. Cardinals defensive end L.J. Collier sacked Winston for a one-yard loss. However, Collier grabbed the QB's facemask to take him down, negating the sack.
Collier was flagged for a personal foul on the play for a facemask violation . The call resulted in a 15-yard penalty and an automatic first down for New York. The Giants eventually ended the drive with a 12-yard touchdown pass from Winston to Fields.

Collier is now awaiting the NFL's decision on a potential fine. According to Rule 12, Section 2, Article 15 of the NFL rulebook , a player may not "grasp and control, twist, turn, push, or pull the facemask or helmet opening of an opponent in any direction."
The NFL's fines and appeals schedule indicates that a facemask violation carries an $11,941 fine for the first offense. A second occurrence will cost the player $17,911. Collier will have to wait for the official league announcement to see whether he will be fined.
