The 2025 season was certainly not Landon Dickerson 's best, and NFL talent evaluators saw it.
A year after ranking fifth on the ESPN-compiled list of best interior offensive linemen, Dickerson fell to "others receiving votes" in 2026.
Dickerson had been a Pro Bowler in three straight seasons from 2022-24, while helping the Eagles reach the Super Bowl twice in that span. But the second-round pick of the 2021 NFL Draft fell off in 2025, and the Eagles' running game suffered as a result.
Landon Dickerson's Ranking on Best Interior Linemen Drops Drastically
Dickerson landed as high as No. 3 on some voters' top-10 lists of the NFL's best centers and guards, which is judged by more than 70 NFL scouts, executives and coaches and is compiled by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Those who judged the list saw Dickerson battling through a knee injury and playing out of shape two years ago.
"He was banged up some, and it looked like he played a bit heavier [in 2024]," an NFL coordinator told Fowler last year. "He played well, but I actually think he'll be even better next year."
Yet that didn't happen. Dickerson had the 31st-best grade (67.2) among 81 qualifying guards as judged by Pro Football Focus and had the 51st-best pass-blocking grade (60.3).
Other Eagles have been given a pass, like tackles Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson , for their offensive struggles under former offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.
But Dickerson appeared to be docked, since the Eagles ranked 23rd in passing (194.3) and were 18th in rushing after finishing second in Saquon Barkley 's record-setting, 2,005-yard season in 2024.
The Cowboys had Two Players on the Best Interior Linemen List
The Dallas Cowboys are about the only team that can compete with the Eagles' among the league's best O-lines, particularly among NFC teams.
So Dickerson's drop led to Cowboys star guards Tyler Smith (No. 1) and Tyler Booker (honorable mention) landing in the top-15 on the ESPN-compiled list.
Smith even earned a comparison to one of the greatest Eagles O-linemen ever.
"Rare combination of size, athleticism, strength and finish," an AFC executive told Fowler of Smith. "He's like prime Jason Peters playing guard."
Led by that dominance, the Cowboys finished ninth in the NFL in rushing last season, and RB1 Javonte Williams posted 1,201 yards, his first 1,000-plus-yard season.
Smith and Booker make a compelling duo to go up against Eagles DTs Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter , who each landed on the ESPN-compiled list of best interior defensive linemen.
It'll be a fascinating matchup to watch during the first Eagles-Cowboys meeting, which is Oct. 26 at Lincoln Financial Field.
