LSU Tigers coach Lane Kiffin has asked fans to adjust their entire game-day routine before Saturday's rivalry game against the No. 9 Alabama Crimson Tide.
In a surprising kick-off decision, No. 15 LSU will host Alabama at 3:30 p.m. ET at Tiger Stadium instead of at the usual evening slot, marking the Crimson Tide's first daytime visit to Baton Rouge since 2010.
Against that backdrop, Kiffin urged LSU fans to move their schedules forward and change how they approach this weekend's game.
"If you're used to 6:30, start your day earlier," Kiffin said Monday. "Have breakfast earlier. Start drinking earlier. Whatever your routine is, move it up. Go to bed earlier Friday night. That's my message for our fans."
Kiffin also joked that Baton Rouge should essentially shut down early, "at like 10 p.m. Friday," so everybody is ready for the unusual afternoon start.
The comments came days after Kiffin criticized the SEC scheduling decision and said he was "shocked" the rivalry game would not be played at night.
"I mean, I was shocked," Kiffin said. "I didn't even think to even think about the time — I just assumed, especially in 16 years, this game has been at night here all the time."

Trying to rally Tigers fans, Kiffin pointed to Tennessee's Oct. 17 win over Alabama, when Neyland Stadium reached a peak noise level of 130.3 decibels, calling on LSU fans to break the record.
"Tennessee supposedly set the noise record against Alabama, which you could see in that game affecting Alabama's offense," Kiffin said. "So let's break the record. We want our players to play well. We want our coaches to play well."
LSU and Alabama both enter Saturday at 6-2 and as College Football Playoff contenders heading into the first rankings reveal of the 2026 season scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET.
