Lazio Receive Triple Injury Boost Ahead of Napoli Clash
Lazio duo Adam Marusic and Nicolo Rovella should resume training with the rest of their teammate, paving the way for a return against Napoli.
The Background
The two players are considered regular starters, but they have been out of action since the start of the season. The Montenegrin hurt his hamstring on the opening day of the Serie A campaign in Bologna, while the Italian midfielder sustained a calf injury the following weekend against his original club, Genoa.
Isaksen Finally Fulfilling His Promise by Becoming Lazio's Ultimate Star – Opinion
Over the past few weeks, Rovella and Marusic were tipped to return to action on several occasions, only for the technical staff to postpone the date. Gennaro Gattuso insisted he doesn't intend to take any risks on this front and get blamed for causing an injury relapse. Therefore, the duo has only taken part in a few light training sessions with the group.

Marusic & Rovella Will Rejoin Lazio Training
According to La Lazio Siamo Noi , Marusic underwent clinical tests on Tuesday, and he's been medically cleared to rejoin full training. The right-back and Rovella are both expected to take part in Wednesday's training session, as the Biancocelesti begin their preparations for Sunday's showdown at the Stadio Maradona following a two-day rest.
No Alarm Bells for Mattia Zaccagni
In addition to Marusic and Rovella, Lazio will also be able to count on Mattia Zaccagni, who has also received the green light to resume training. The captain was forced to leave the pitch on Sunday after sustaining a severe blow to his left thigh during the second half against Cagliari . Nevertheless, the medical staff isn't concerned about the winger, who was lucky to avoid injury.

Only Albert Gudmundsson is Missing
Albert Gudmundsson remains the only Lazio player on the treatment table. The Icelandic international dislocated his shoulder during a UEFA Nations League game against Estonia, and he might have to wait until December to resume training with his teammates.
