LeBron James always has his hometown of Akron on his mind.
In a recent Los Angeles Lakers game, he had Akron on his shoes.
When the Lakers hosted the Charlotte Hornets on Jan. 15, James was sporting the Nike LeBron 23 shoes. Although the shoes come in various outlandish colorways, the ones James wore against the Hornets were an understated cream color with blue on top.

What makes the shoes special is that on the back was the Akron Zips logo.

James shared a photo of the shoes on Instagram saying, "Hardly home but always reppin!"
These are just the latest iteration of James' shoes that pay tribute to the Rubber City. He's worn several different variations over the years. In 2023, for instance, the soles of his shoes had the map of the city on them .
New LeBron James Nike shoes being sold by House Three Thirty
This isn't the only James shoe news. House Three Thirty announced over the weekend it would be selling the "Green With Envy" variation of the shoe. The listed price is $210.
