- “You’re Such a Light”: Sophie Cunningham, Caitlin Clark Send Love to Raven Johnson After Promising Rookie Season

Raven Johnson capped off her rookie season in the WNBA with an Instagram photo dump on Sunday. Among the images in the set was a group selfie showing Johnson and her Indiana Fever teammates.
Reacting to the photo dump, Johnson's fellow Fever guards Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham posted sweet words for the rookie in the comments section.
"So proud of u," Clark wrote.
"You're such a light! Love you," Cunningham commented.

In her first season with the Fever, Johnson helped the team by providing ball-handling and defense off the bench. These qualities were on full display in Game 2 of the Fever-Aces series, when Johnson teamed with Cunningham, Myisha Hines-Allen and Monique Billings to put defensive pressure on Las Vegas.
The young guard's numbers hardly jump off the stat sheet (3.1 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 1.2 apg), but Johnson made her impact felt nevertheless, just as she did during her stint at South Carolina. During the 2023-24 season, Johnson started 35 of her 37 games with the Gamecocks, who went on to win their second national title in three years.
When Johnson was drafted 10th in this year's WNBA draft, there was chatter about her dynamic with Caitlin Clark , who'd waved her off in an infamous 2023 March Madness moment. The two, however, would show no signs of tension throughout the 2026 WNBA season.
In a full-circle moment, CC told Johnson that she's made the three-time WNBA All-Star proud.
Meanwhile, Raven Johnson has issued an apology for a certain remark she made about Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson.
After the Aces defeated the Fever in Game 3 of their first-round series, Johnson reacted to a Myisha Hines-Allen comment about "rage-baiting" Wilson by saying, "You do it with such a smile on your face." On Friday, Johnson went on to apologize for the words.
"I sincerely apologize for the comments I made during the video with MHA. What I said was wrong, and I take full responsibility for my words. I have nothing but love and respect for my big sister 4 life A'ja, and I truly wish her nothing but the best," Johnson tweeted.
Three years before the start of Johnson's stint with South Carolina, it was Wilson who was leading the charge for the Gamecocks. In all likelihood, Johnson was referring to this South Carolina connection with her "big sister" comment.
