The Detroit Lions have look good throughout training camp this summer. But injuries still continue to haunt the organization, just as they have over the past two years. Detroit is down multiple cornerbacks ahead of what should be a pivotal 2026 season for the organization. One former Lions player recent found a new home despite his legal situation.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell said he was "not surprised" by the Seahawks taking a chance on Arnold, per ESPN's Eric Woodyard.
"I have no ill will whatsoever towards Terrion. I wish him the best," Campbell added. "And I wish everything and everyone the best in that whole situation."

Woodyard added that Campbell was not personally contacted by any teams about Arnold. However, Campbell did confirm that teams "certainly" did reach out to someone within the Lions' organization during the vetting process.
"Terrion's a good dude and the whole thing's unfortunate," Campbell concluded. "It really is, but it is what it is."
The Lions released Arnold on June 29th after he was accused of multiple felonies, including kidnapping and robbery. Arnold has previously been granted a $1 million bond , which allows him to participate in NFL training camp and the preseason.
Detroit was clearly not comfortable relying too much on Arnold after his legal issues. Still, the Lions could use a player like Arnold in their secondary, at least on paper.
The Lions look poised to enter the regular season with D.J. Reed and Rock Ya-Sin as their main boundary cornerbacks. Rookie Keith Abney II and standout Nick Whiteside should also receive some snaps at the position.
All of this comes on the back of uncertainty surrounding Detroit's starting safety tandem .
Detroit should be without both Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch for the early stages of the regular season. That means Detroit's secondary could be a mess if their depth players do not rise to the challenge.
Next up for the Lions is a preseason tilt with the Commanders. That game kicks off at 12PM ET on August 22nd from Ford Field.
