The Bobcats are visiting Utah Tech in what marks MSU's first season defending a FCS national championship since 1985.
Montana State's offense should be just as potent as last season. The All-America tandem of quarterback Justin Lamson and wide receiver Taco Dowle is back. Running back Adam Jones is also behind an offensive line featuring returning All-Americas Titan Fleischmann and Braden Zimmer. On the defensive end, Caden Dowler, the Big Sky's reigning defensive player of the year, returns to anchor the defense at safety.
Saturday's game is going to be an uphill climb for Utah Tech, which finished 2-10 in 2025, with wins over Northern Iowa and North Alabama. However, the Trailblazers lost by one touchdown to both UC Davis and Northern Arizona and were competitive in most of the other losses.
