It's been a disastrous week for Liverpool , who lost to Arsenal at Anfield, then suffered a catastrophic away defeat to struggling Fenerbahce in the Champions League. They twice gave up their lead in Turkey before conceding late to fall to a 3-2 defeat on Wednesday night, and gaffer Andoni Iraola must turn things around at Selhurst Park, with Crystal Palace set to host the Merseysiders before the international break.
But most of the youngsters, out on loan, impressed for their respective outfits. Let's have a quick look at how they performed last gameweek.
Levante have now dropped to the relegation zone after a 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid. But the teenager was excellent in the heart of the backline, maintaining high passing accuracy. Won all the duels, was spot-on with his tackles and showed sheer composure with timely recoveries and defensive contributions.
Genk lost 1-0 to KV Mechelen, and the custodian could have done little to stop Simion Michez's powerful, curling left-footed shot from well outside the box. Made a couple of saves to keep the Smurfs in the contest.
Returned between the sticks after being rested in their Cup outing against Austria Wien. The Hungarian was majestic in the last line of defence, making five key stops in Hartberg's thumping 4-0 win versus Grazer AK.
Calum Scanlon retained his starting spot on the left against Wolves and West Ham United. Despite being at fault for Wolves' opening goal in their 3-0 defeat, the youngster delivered a strong performance against the Hammers, balancing between defence and attack in their chaotic 3-3 draw. Nearly scored a wonder goal when he forced Mads Hermansen into a brilliant save to tip away an improvised, delicate chip. Was taken off on both occasions as a tactical alteration.

Featured as a late substitute after Blackpool equalised around the 81st-minute mark. Only had a couple of touches, as he failed to make any notable contribution while on the pitch.
Started in their back-to-back fixtures against Eastleigh and Harrogate Town. Operated in an advanced midfield role on both occasions, scoring against the latter, who, however, scripted a comeback in the second half to settle for a 2-2 draw. Looked sharp with his movements and link-up play in their 2-0 win over Eastleigh.
Continues to impress up top. The attacker was brought in as a 'super sub' soon after the break, and he scored Port Vale's fourth of the afternoon in a commanding 4-2 win against Rochdale.
Cemented his spot as a right wingback after a match-winning display against Dundee. But the Scotsman offered little in their 1-1 draw and 1-0 defeat to Hibernian and Motherwell, respectively, failing to create enough opportunities with his marauding runs, crosses and cut-ins.
Centre-half Amara Nallo and custodian Kornel Miściur were not involved for HJK and Leek Town, respectively, due to injury concerns. Brest attacker Djylian N'Guessan was an unused substitute against Lorient, potentially for tactical reasons. Harvey Elliott, who received a marching order against Villarreal, missed the Elche tie due to suspension.
