Conor Bradley Injury Update: Liverpool Defender Faces Wait for Return
There is no point dressing this up. Conor Bradley is in for a patient, careful road back, and neither Liverpool nor Northern Ireland are going to rush him.

The young right-back has been out since the serious knee injury he suffered at Arsenal in January, an issue that required surgery to repair significant bone and ligament damage. Since then, his work has been lonely, repetitive and probably maddening at times, gym sessions, rehab drills and the sort of small daily gains that never make headlines but decide careers.
Bradley was seen at the AXA Training Centre this summer continuing an individual rehabilitation programme. He also travelled with the squad to the United States during pre-season, a sign that he remains very much part of the group even while full training is still some distance away. Reports have already suggested his comeback would need time, and the latest comments only reinforce that view.

Andoni Iraola waiting on right-back recovery
Andoni Iraola indicated this week that Bradley is not yet close to rejoining full team training. That matters because Liverpool need depth and energy in the right-back position, and Bradley has shown before that he can offer both. Still, there is no reward in forcing the issue with an injury of this seriousness.
Michael O'Neill accepts Northern Ireland absence
Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill has made peace with the situation. "Conor is where I expected him to be," said O'Neill. "I knew the injury was going to take longer than maybe some people were thinking.

"He's making good progress. It has to be managed very, very carefully, an injury of that nature. He's just become a dad as well so he's got other things to worry about as well, so congratulations to him.
"But Conor will be with us when he is ready and fit, and we'll be delighted to have him back."
Pressed on whether Bradley might miss the rest of the international year, O'Neill added: "I think I'm comfortable with that.
"If we see him this side of Christmas, it will be a real bonus but if not then we look forward to March (international games)."

Patient approach remains best option
For Liverpool and for Bradley, that is the truth of it. No drama, no false deadlines, no empty promises. Just rehab, patience and the hope that when he does return, he comes back properly fit and ready to stay that way.
