Liverpool travel to Fenerbahçe on Wednesday in the fourth round of the Champions League league phase.
Andoni Iraola's side are third in the league phase with nine points from three wins, scoring 12 goals against Atlético Madrid, LASK and Villarreal. They were beaten 1-0 by Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday, and are unbeaten away from home this season. Fenerbahçe are 31st with two points and are led by interim head coach Dirk Kuyt, the former Liverpool forward, after Ismail Kartal's resignation. This is the first meeting between the clubs.
Liverpool team news
Ryan Gravenberch (heel) stayed on Merseyside for treatment, the club confirmed, after being an unused substitute against Arsenal. Jeremie Frimpong (hamstring), Conor Bradley (knee), Giovanni Leoni (ACL) and Hugo Ekitike (Achilles) remain out. Dominik Szoboszlai and Víctor Muñoz, who returned from injury as substitutes at the weekend, are both in the 22-man travelling squad.
Szoboszlai is expected to return to the starting XI alongside Trey Nyoni, who started against Arsenal. Kostas Tsimikas could replace Milos Kerkez at left-back, with Joe Gomez expected on the right in the absence of Frimpong and Bradley. Florian Wirtz is expected to continue behind Alexander Isak, with Rio Ngumoha and Bradley Barcola wide. Lewis Koumas, who led the line against Villarreal, is an alternative. Fenerbahçe are without Jayden Oosterwolde, Kojo Peprah Oppong and Marco Asensio, with Nathan Aké doubtful.
