- Is Luke Keaschall the Most Exciting Minnesota Twins Player?

Luke Keaschall has the strongest case as the most exciting young player on the Minnesota Twins roster, but the argument is far from settled.
The Twins finished 77-85 in 2026. They were in the playoff race until the final month of the regular season.

Minnesota has three young players who gave the organization plenty to be excited about down the stretch. Keaschall leads the conversation, but Walker Jenkins and Kaelen Culpepper both made their presence felt late in the year and the picture could look completely different by 2027.
Keaschall was a second-round pick out of Arizona State in 2023, but his path to the big leagues came with some obstacles. A right forearm fracture from a hit-by-pitch and a left thumb ligament surgery both cost him some time before he ever got a look at the major-league level.
In 2025, he played in 49 games and hit .302 with an .827 OPS, finishing ninth in AL Rookie of the Year voting. In 2026, he posted a .282 batting average, .374 on-base percentage, .781 OPS, 10 home runs, 52 RBIs and 20 stolen bases across 152 games. He scored 86 runs and added 28 doubles. There are other players though that fans are excited about.
Jenkins was the fifth overall pick in the 2023 draft out of high school. He is the kind of prospect teams build their futures around. He hit .308 with 12 home runs and 17 stolen bases at Triple-A St. Paul before Minnesota called him up in late August when Byron Buxton went down.

His major-league numbers in 26 games were not great, but the raw tools are in a different tier than anyone else in this system. The one concern is health.
Jenkins has missed time with injuries in each of his four professional seasons and has never played more than 100 games in a year. Until that changes, there will always be a question mark sitting next to his ceiling.
Kaelen Culpepper is another player with a ton of potential. The 21st overall pick out of Kansas State in 2024, Culpepper hit .271 with 14 home runs, 46 RBI, and 17 stolen bases at Triple-A before his own August call-up.
Right now, Keaschall holds the edge over both because he has the full-season production no one else in this group has matched yet. Jenkins may eventually be the face of this franchise. Culpepper is not far behind. But Keaschall has certainly been the most exciting.
