Losing young players at this time of year is inevitable, especially at a club like PSG where the path to the first team is so crowded. Anyone who hasn't signed a pro deal can simply walk away.
Nevertheless, there does seem to be some consternation about quite how many players are leaving the youth ranks of the Parisians this summer. "And in the end, how many will be left?", L'Equipe wrote this morning.
"PSG are gradually losing almost all the player to whom it has offered professional contract."
The trigger for this is the departure of three top talents who shone in the youth ranks last season.
Pierre Mounguengue signed for Dynamo Kyiv on Wednesday, and there other two are expected to be gone by the end of the week. Club Brugge are expected to snap up Samba Coulibaly, while Elijah Ly could end up at the same destination.
From their age group, only Adam Ayari signed the contract he was offered.
PSG have had an unprecedented period of success in their youth teams, and the talent pool they have access to is so deep that that should continue no matter how many players leave.
Manu Kone is keen to come to PSG – but it seems that other destinations remain more likely for the Roma star.
Kang-in Lee has reportedly agreed personal terms with Atletico Madrid , taking him one step closer to a move back to La Liga.
