Of course, it is up to Arozarena whether to take that offer, but he also has an opportunity to look for a bigger bag in the MLB offseason.
Arozarena has played the last three seasons with the Mariners, earning two All-Star nods along the way with the team. He is coming off his best season yet in the big leagues, slashing .281/.381/.484 and hitting 26 home runs to go along with 79 RBIs and 26 stolen bases across 154 games (670 plate appearances). Arozarena also posted a 148 OPS+.

Given the season he just had, the former American League Rookie of the Year Award winner Arozarena can expect other teams to show him the money in pursuit of his services.

It is also worth noting that this is just the first time that the Mariners have extended a qualifying offer to a player in over a decade. Before Arozarena, it was pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma in who was the most recent player to receive such a gesture from Seattle.
