It's not every Saturday that college football produces a kick-six.
That moment arrived just before halftime of Old Dominion's matchup with Marshall.
With four seconds remaining in the second quarter, Old Dominion's Andrew Nelms lined up for a 55-yard field-goal attempt that would have cut the deficit to one score heading into the locker room. Instead, the kick came up short and landed in the hands of Marshall's Xayvian Turner-Bradshaw in the end zone, who raced 100 yards (without any trouble) for a touchdown, extending the Thundering Herd 's lead to 17.

Turner-Bradshaw's highlight play to end the first half tied the record for the longest play in program history.
TJ Lester helped Marshall build its 17-point halftime lead with a pair of first-quarter rushing touchdowns. He opened the scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run on first down during the Thundering Herd's opening drive, then broke free for a 49-yard touchdown on the first play of Marshall's third series.
Looking for its second win in Sun Belt play on Saturday, Marshall would move to 2-2 in conference play if it is able to hold onto its current lead. It'd also be the first back-to-back wins for the Thundering Herd since they won three straight from Sept. 12 to Sept. 26 with victories against Middle Tennessee, Missouri State and Gardner-Webb.
