"This offseason I've been mainly focused on playing through physicality, getting to the rim more,"he said. "I believe I was shooting too many 3's last year. I've been focusing on getting downhill, getting to the midrange more. Putting on weight, getting stronger has been one of the key factors for me."
"This offseason, I believe I've done a great job doing that. I feel like I've grown so much as a player. I also played [with the] national team, I learned a lot there. It's been a process, but I feel like I did an excellent job. Of course, I feel like I could have done better. That's how I always feel 'cause I view it like that. But I've done a pretty good job with the strength, nutrition. I've hired a chef. It's all been great."
Buzelis is seen as one of the team's cornerstones for the future alongside rookieCaleb Wilson, the No. 4 pick of the 2026NBADraft.
