PHOENIX– Natasha Mack is set to make her return after missing the last two weeks with a bone bruise in her left foot. Although Mack has been the Mercury's engine , head coach Nate Tibbetts sees the impact when she's off the court.
Facing off against a stacked Connecticut Sun team at the forward and center spot, this felt like the opportune time for the Phoenix center to return.
"I think we were all hoping that we would see her last game, but it didn't work out. She wasn't completely ready. I know she's ready to go," Tibbetts explained pregame. "She's excited. Obviously, she'll be on a minutes restriction.

"Mack played extremely well to start the year, and I think just having her presence around the rim will be really good for us."
Phoenix has had a size problem ever since the season began. Losing out on someone like Kathryn Westbeld proved to be a major factor.
Still, Mack's impact cannot be understated. The rebounding, rim protection, and vertical threat are only some of the many areas she has an impact on.
Tibbetts also shared that he's excited to see her offensive rebounding and energy to get second chance points. Getting those against a big Connecticut unit has to be one of the primary focuses.
With the Mercury riding a four-game losing streak , she has been out for all of those contests. Having her back, even on a minutes restriction, can do wonders heading into the All-Star break.
