The Mets made a change in their bullpen on Tuesday afternoon, activating right-hander Austin Warren off the 15-day IL and optioning right-hander Chayce McDermott to Triple-A Syracuse.
Warren was placed on the IL in early July with a right forearm strain following back-to-back rough outings in which he allowed a combined nine runs in 2.0 innings.

The 30-year-old Warren has been pretty solid for the Mets overall this season, pitching to a 4.63 ERA over 26 appearances, striking out 37 in 35.0 innings.
McDermott, acquired at the trade deadline in deal that sent catcher Ben Rortvedt to Los Angeles , has appeared in two games for the Mets, allowing two earned runs in 3.1 innings.
