But it's never too late to make roster adjustments.
This time, the Mets have replaced a right-handed reliever with a lefty in the bullpen.
According to Steve Adams of MLB Trade Rumors , New York has designated righty Xzavion Curry for assignment.
Taking Curry's place on the roster will likely be Phillip Abner, who was claimed off waivers by the Mets on Wednesday.
Curry , 28, appeared in nine games with the NL East club and allowed 13 earned runs on 22 hits in 21.1 innings.
He struck out just 16% of the batters he faced but managed to keep his walk rate at a somewhat respectable 9.6%.
