The Mets have placed Robert Stock -- initially Wednesday night's scheduled starter against the Orioles -- on the 15-day IL due to numbness in his fingers.
Xzavion Curry was called up to replace Stock on the roster, and will start Wednesday's game.
Additionally, Daniel Duartewas placed on the 15-day IL due to a hamstring strain, with Jefry Yancalled up to replace him.
Duarte appeared to injure himself while covering home plate on a wild pitch in the 10th inning on Tuesday night, but remained in to finish the inning.
With the regular season ending on Sept. 27, Stock and Duarte will not return this year.
Duarte stood out for the Mets after their trade deadline sell-off, posting a 2.12 ERA and 0.80 WHIP while striking out 30 batters in 29.2 innings, and will likely enter spring training next year as an option in what should be a revamped bullpen.
