- Micah Parsons Shares Subtle Reaction to Cowboys' Record Contract for Kicker Aubrey
Even without saying a word, Micah Parsons found a way to be part of Monday’s NFL conversation. Following the Dallas Cowboys ' announcement of a record-setting contract extension for kicker Brandon Aubrey , Parsons took to Instagram with a quiet but noticeable reaction. Rather than offering commentary, the All-Pro linebacker simply reshared a story tied to the news, a move that didn’t go unnoticed by fans.
It was a minimal response, but it was interesting, given Parsons’ history with the Cowboys and his very public exit from the organization less than a year ago. In today’s NFL world, even the smallest social media action from a superstar can spark conversation, especially when it involves former teammates and a franchise that once defined his early career.

Cowboys Move Sparks Attention Across League
Dallas made headlines Monday when Aubrey agreed to a four-year, $28 million extension, the largest contract ever for an NFL kicker. For Parsons, the moment likely carried a layer of familiarity. He entered the league as a first-round pick of the Cowboys in 2021 and immediately became one of the NFL’s most dominant defensive forces. His tenure included three first team All-Pro selections and a Defensive Rookie of the Year award before a high-profile split from the organization.
Now with the Green Bay Packers , Parsons remains one of the league’s premier defensive players. Even after a blockbuster trade and subsequent contract extension of his own, his ties to Dallas continue to generate interest whenever the Cowboys make significant moves.
Why Parsons’ Reaction Still Matters
Parsons’ decision to share the moment, rather than comment on it, fits a larger trend among athletes who let actions speak louder than words. Still, the context makes it notable.

The 26-year-old has never been shy about expressing himself publicly, particularly during his departure from Dallas amid contract frustrations. That history adds intrigue to any interaction involving the Cowboys, even something as simple as a repost.
In a league driven as much by narrative as performance, Parsons’ quiet reaction is a good reminder that connections between players and former teams remain strong.
