- Milwaukee Bucks role player turns down Lakers and 76ers to remain in Milwaukee
The Milwaukee Bucks finally broke into the win column Monday night, defeating the Indiana Pacers in a close contest at home . Although the result may have taken a backseat to other sporting news in the city, the Bucks still earned a valuable victory against a Pacers squad aiming to compete near the top of the Eastern Conference.
Although Milwaukee is entering a rebuilding phase and may not attract many high-profile free agents, NBA insider Marc Stein recently revealed that one player passed up chances to join more prominent teams because he wanted to remain with the Bucks.

"The 76ers and Lakers, league sources say, both registered two-way contract interest in Nance after Milwaukee released the 26-year-old last weekend. But the Bucks, as The Stein Line reported last Sunday, believed they could get Nance to stay in Brewtown on a two-way with them and were proven correct. Nance is still a Buck," wrote Jake Fischer in his article on the Stein Line.
Since going undrafted in 2023, Nance has moved between several NBA teams. He has also had multiple stints with the Bucks organization since February 2025, signing several two-way contracts with Milwaukee, including another earlier this month.

Nance gives the Milwaukee Bucks a combination of size and athleticism at power forward, earning opportunities in 47 games last season and starting six times. The Bucks appear pleased with his contributions and have made it clear they want the 26-year-old to remain part of the organization moving forward.
The Bucks return to action Wednesday night, hosting the Houston Rockets on their home court.
