- Mizzou steamrolls No. 8 Florida; snags first win against SEC top 10 opponent since 2013
COLUMBIA, Mo. — The Missouri Tigers delivered a resounding response against No. 8 Florida on Saturday after losing to Mississippi State last week.
The 25th-ranked Tigers secured one of the most impressive victories of the Eli Drinkwitz era, winning 45-17 in front of their homecoming crowd. It was also Mizzou's first win against an SEC top 10 opponent since defeating then seventh-ranked Georgia in 2013.

Mizzou found the endzone first early in the second quarter on an Austin Simmons 47-yard strike across the middle to sophomore WR Donovan Olugbode to go up 10-3.
Olugbode has been brilliant so far this season, scoring a TD in all five games.
Florida tied things up their very next drive with under five minutes in the half on an Aaron Philo 12-yard TD pass to WR Dallas Wilson.
But Mizzou would score twice before the half ended to give them a two-possession lead at halftime thanks to a beautiful 31-yard TD pass from Simmons, hitting senior Caleb Goodie Sr. in stride. Senior and Liberty North alum Blake Craig then nailed a 50-yard field goal as time expired to go up 20-10.

That would only be the beginning of the Tigers' onslaught, going up 27-10 on their opening drive of the second half after a Jamal Roberts five-yard TD run.
Mizzou put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter thanks to one and 80-yard TD runs from Roberts.

With the win, Mizzou improves to 4-1. They host Texas A&M next Saturday.
