MLB Insider of The Athletic, Ken Rosenthal, made his per usual regular appearance on "Foul Territory" on Tuesday and spoke about the complications that linger in the Angels offseason.
"Ownership is not expected to be approved until at least December. So they can't really act, even to hire a president of baseball operations, much less sign a Tarik Skubal," Rosenthal said. "And will Skubal's agent, Scott Boras, be willing to wait if, before the lockout starts on December 1. they can get the deal they want."
When the Angels announced the sale, they added that they don't expect it to be approved by MLB until the end of the first quarter of 2027.

While landing the most highly coveted in free agency might be apipe dream for the Angels, they will have a long way to go before they start signing free agents.
