Game 1:San Diego Padres first baseman Ty France watches foul ball during the ninth inning of their National League Division Series game against the Milwaukee Brewers Saturday, October 3, 2026 at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The ball hit a cable of the stadium roof cables before it was caught by Jackson Chourio.
Since the umps ruled that it was a fair ball it was playable. Whether it would have been a home run without hitting the roof remained a hot topic of conversation after the game. Had it been a two-run homer, the Padres would have taken a lead. Instead, it was the second out and Megill would get Jackson Merrill to line out to end the game.
