The Los Angeles Lakers have a plethora of questions to answer this offseason after their season recently came to an end against the Oklahoma City Thunder in a second round sweep. The biggest question mark heading into the summer for the Lakers is whether or not LeBron James played his last game for the franchise in Monday's Game 4 loss.
James is slated to hit free agency in June, and recently, ClutchPoints NBA insider Brett Siegel broke down how he sees the likelihood of the star signing with various organizations around the league.
"I realistically only see three options here… the main percentage, 50 percent, is LeBron staying with the Lakers. He's been there for the last eight years. They just got Luka Doncic last year," said Siegel, per ClutchPoints on X, formerly Twitter.
Siegel gave James a 30 percent chance of rejoining the Cleveland Cavaliers , "going back home and going back to Akron, where this all started, finishing his career with Cleveland… could be a full circle ending for LeBron," he added.
The smallest percentage, 20 percent, went to the Golden State Warriors , which would be followed by Golden State making "a subsequent move, whether that's adding a Kawhi Leonard , adding a Kevin Durant to the equation, and really going after that one to two-year window with guys that have done so before," he concluded.
Other teams James has been linked to include the New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets , although at this point, it seems that staying put in Los Angeles is the most likely outcome for the future Hall of Famer.
The NBA free agency period is slated to officially open for business on June 30, at which point James can decide on his next basketball home.
