There could be a lot of movement in the NBA this offseason, and it could involve some of the bigger stars in the league. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Ja Morant are the top two players who will probably be on new teams , as the Milwaukee Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies seem to be looking to go in a different direction.
The next question is where they could end up, and Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints shared that both players have an interest in playing alongside each other.
"Giannis and Ja Morant have expressed interest in playing together," Azarly said on ClutchScoops. "Ja is not expected to be in a Grizzlies uniform next season, so I think they're expecting a trade there. Could they be partnered together? I think they'd be very much interested in a partnership there. I don't think it will be in Memphis, and I don't think it will be Milwaukee."
Brett Siegel then threw out the idea that the Brooklyn Nets are an option for both players.
"I'd love to see Ja Morant and Giannis play together in Brooklyn, and if they get AJ Dybantsa No. 1 in the draft, I think that would be a really dynamic team with the depth that they could build there," Siegel said.
It would be interesting to see if the Nets could pull off something like that, especially without giving up their lottery pick.
Antetokounmpo and Morant playing together sounds good in theory, but it's uncertain if they could work on the floor together. At the same time, that's something that you figure out when it's time to get on the court, and the right system could get the best out of them.
