LeBron James will take his talents elsewhere after leaving the Los Angeles Lakers and entering free agency . But according to NBA insiders, James is in no rush and is just living his life.
ESPN's Shams Charania says that James is being extremely patient , per Get Up on ESPN. He also said that James has been hitting the golf course after making his decision.
" LeBron James is not in a rush right now to make a decision. … There is no timetable."
Shams also said that James' agent, Rich Paul, has been inundated with pitches from many teams. Meanwhile, Shams reported three teams, the Golden State Warriors , Cleveland Cavaliers , and Miami Heat , stand out above the rest.
Also, ESPN's Brian Windhorst anticipates more action after the 4th of July weekend.
"To this point there has not been much back and forth. The teams have expressed interest but there has not been traction going forward on what a process might be whether there will be a meeting or whether they'll be given an opportunity to formally show how they feel like Lebron can fit. Maybe after the holiday will see if things start to go but the teams don't even have a sense of a timeline yet much less what will go into the decision"
James is very likely looking to join a team with championship potential. The Philadelphia 76ers are rumored to acquire James following the trade of Paul George to the Boston Celtics for Jaylen Brown .
For now, let LeBron get a few swings in.
