The biggest name on the market right now in free agency is LeBron James , with the incoming 24-year star announcing his intentions to leave to the Los Angeles Lakers while continuing his playing career. While the majority of the top flight free agents have already agreed to contracts, teams are still awaiting James' decision. And if rumors are to be believed, there is a narrow list of teams at the top of his list.
The Cleveland Cavaliers , the Miami Heat and the Philadelphia 76ers are believed to be the top teams in the running to sign LeBron James in free agency, as per Shams Charania of ESPN. While the Cavaliers and Heat were always thought to be in the running, the 76ers' recent trade for Jaylen Brown has James looking their direction .
"The teams that continue to come up are Cleveland, Miami, Philadelphia after they got Jaylen Brown," Charania said during a recent ESPN segment. "Philadelphia was not in the picture, and that's why this is somewhat a true free agency for LeBron James because he didn't go into it with a calculation in mind, a plan in place."

The 76ers could certainly use help at power forward alongside the presumed starting lineup of Brown, Joel Embiid , Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe . The only question mark with that particular lineup would be the health of Embiid.
For the Cavaliers, James would also fill a frontcourt void alongside the backcourt of James Harden and Donovan Mitchell , and the twin tower pairing of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen . For the Heat, James would give the starting lineup a reliable playmaking threat with Giannis Antetokounmpo , Bam Adebayo , Davion Mitchell and Andrew Wiggins .
Each of the those teams with James, and provided they stay healthy, would probably be elevated to contender status as James continues his pursuit of a fifth career championship.
