Nebraska women's basketball forward Natalie Potts was named to the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Award Watch List. Potts was named one of 20 players for the award, which is given to the best small forward in the country .
Potts suffered a season-ending leg injury in the fifth game of the 2024-25 season. She was given a medical redshirt that year, and was expected to return last season. However, an injury setback caused her to miss the entire 2025-26 season.
Now, she is looking to come back better than ever. She has already been able to make an impact in Nebraska's exhibition and scrimmage games. Most recently, she scored five points, tallied three rebounds, and four steals in 17 minutes over Wayne State on October 23.
The 2024 Big Ten Freshman of the Year is an integral part of the roster. Now fully healthy, it will be exciting to see what she can do for a Husker program looking to make some noise.
