The Philadelphia Eagles have now lost six straight games entering Week 9 of the NFL season.
The Eagles are in some trouble this season , and with all the injuries that have hit them, the year could be in jeopardy. Philadelphia still has a chance to win the NFC East, given how poor it has been this year, but the odds are heavily against them.

With the NFL trade deadline just a week away, the Eagles are expected to be one of the main teams involved in talks around the league. Philadelphia has multiple players that it could send out for future assets, but how the front office navigates this remains to be seen.
Players like veteran guard Landon Dickerson or cornerback Riq Woolen could be on the move, with Philadelphia trying to build for the future. The Eagles have a lot to figure out over the next week, and it could be an intriguing few days for the organization.
However, NFL analyst Ben Solak of ESPN proposed a smaller trade for the Eagles with the Minnesota Vikings. Here is how the deal could look, according to Solak.
Eagles receive:2027 sixth-round draft pick

Vikings receive:Tight end Johnny Mundt and a 2027 seventh-round draft pick
Should Eagles Make This Move?
For Philadelphia, moving on from Mundt could make sense, given that players such as Eli Stowers and others have returned. Mundt has only caught four passes for 16 yard this season, with him being more of a blocking tight end.
Sending him out for a sixth-round pick could work for the Eagles, giving the team more to work with in the upcoming draft. The Eagles should be looking to maximize assets on the roster like this, and Minnesota could use a player like Mundt.
The Vikings are one of the better teams in football, but they could use more of a blocking tight end to help with the running game. Mundt could work out well for this team, and he played in Minnesota for a few years under Kevin O'Connell already.

All in all, this proposed deal could work out well if it were on the table between the two teams at the deadline. Philadelphia would land a slightly better draft pick for the upcoming class, while the Vikings prepare for the stretch run of the year with a move around the edges of the roster.
