Arizona Cardinals cornerback Kei'Trel Clark isn't backing down from the NFL.
Clark, a former sixth-round pick from Louisville, wrote "Glory Be 2 God" on his eyeblack for his team's Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Chargers . Although it may seem like a harmless gesture, he was fined $6,651 for breaking one of the NFL's equipment rules.
"During the Arizona Cardinals-Los Angeles Rams game on September 13, 2026, you were in violation of the NFL Uniform and Equipment Rules," the league informed Clark. "Specifically, you displayed a personal message on your eyeblack. Rule 5, Section 4, Article 8, Item () of the 2026 Official Playing Rules of the National Football League states that, 'throughout the period on game day that a player is visible to the stadium and television audience (including in pregame warm-ups, in the bench area, and during postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field), players are prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages either in writing or illustration, unless such message has been approved in advance by the League office.'"
Despite receiving this fine from the NFL, Clark isn't letting it influence his faith.
"I got to report to God at the end of my days on the day of judgment!" he said, via OutKick. "I'll always give God the Glory and out loud. All good."

Outrage over the NFL's decision.
Judging by the replies online, NFL fans aren't thrilled about Clark receiving a fine for posting a brief message about God on his eyeblack.
"Cardinals CB Kei'Trel Clark has been fined $6,651 by the woke NFL for writing "Glory Be 2 God" on his eye black," one person said. "I will be boycotting the NFL until their fine is lifted and an apology is issued to Christians everywhere."
"Six grand for writing a sentence on his own face is pure extortion, the league needs to get its priorities straight," a second fan commented.
"Fining a player for writing 'Glory Be 2 God' feels unnecessary, he wasn't attacking anyone or causing chaos, just expressing his faith," another fan wrote on X.
The Cardinals will be back in action this Sunday. We'll see if Clark posts another message on his eyeblack .
