- What NFL draft experts said about new Packers CB Domani Jackson
The Green Bay Packers selected Alabama cornerback Domani Jackson -- once one of the top recruits entering the collegiate ranks in 2022 -- with the 201st overall pick in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL draft.
Jackson (6-1, 914) was a true sophomore starter for USC in 2023 and finished his career starting 23 games over two seasons at Alabama. He had minimal ball production (14 pass breakups, two interceptions), and he played better during the 2024 season, his first at Alabama. In terms of size and speed, Jackson checks the boxes for the Packers at corner -- a position that needed numbers.

What top NFL draft experts said about Jackson:
Dane Brugler, The Athletic
Jackson flashes the linear speed that made him a record-setting sprinter in high school. However, his cover instincts and understanding of the nuances of his position aren't on the same level. He is late to transition from his backpedal and can get turned around with his match movements. He needs to do a better job tracking the quarterback through the route and play stronger through the catch (only one pass breakup in 2025). Overall, Jackson is a battle-tested size-speed athlete, but his inconsistent eye discipline and short-area movements held him back on his college tape. Improvements in those areas — and a role on special teams — can get him on an NFL roster.
Lance Zierlein, The Athletic
Jackson is a smooth athlete with good size and elite track speed. In totality, the play and production have failed to match the traits dating back to his days at USC (2022-2023), but his 2024 tape gives evaluators the best look at his ceiling. He can disrupt from press but can be a step slow to transition in-phase from man. Tampa 2 and deep-zone coverages suit him best. Scheme won't matter as much as consistency and confidence for Jackson, though.

Scouts, Inc.
Jackson is a bigger press corner with length, strength and speed. He can reroute receivers at the line of scrimmage and win on 50-50 balls downfield. He's not as effective playing off the line and in space, but he can break on the ball and limit production after the catch. He intercepted just two passes over the course of his career, both in 2024, but Jackson shows the ability to track the ball well. He also does a good job of playing through the receiver's hands.
