- NFL Draft: Kamari Ramsey is projected to end up with AFC contender
USC safety Kamari Ramsey is a player who is super talented and would garner a lot of interest had he enter the NFL Draft last year. However, despite a down season in 2025 that hindered his value quite a bit, Ramsey still enters this year's draft as a potential day two target, and some teams seem to have interest in him.
In a recent mock draft , Curt Popejoy of Steelers Wire, has the Pittsburgh Steelers selecting the USC safety in the third round. Here is what Popejoy had to say about this projected selection:

"Ramsey is a super versatile defensive back who USC used as both safety spots as well as a nickel cornerback," Popejoy wrote. "He's an immediate rotational player with starter potential."
The Steelers' biggest area of weakness last season was their play in the secondary. It did not seem good enough, and they gave up many big plays. Jalen Ramsey and Joey Porter Jr. are good players, but this is still a position room that needs help.
Kamari Ramsey fits that need, as he is a versatile safety that can hit and is pretty solid in coverage. If the Steelers can land Ramsey in the third round, it would be a steal.
