Before a home crowd that included Olympic champion Kristi Yamaguchi, MLB star Barry Bonds, and the current Golden State Warriors NBA team, the Golden State Valkyries came from behind to win Game 7 of the WNBA Finals 68-63 to earn their first WNBA Championship.
This is only the second season of the Valkyries existence in a WNBA that celebrated its 30th anniversary this year. No other franchise in any sport has gone from its origin to championship in just two years.
Nike dropped the perfect slogan to commemorate what the Valkyries did following their victory.

WNBA breathes sigh of relief after Game 6 logistical fiasco
The WNBA concludes its season and the series perfectly. There had never been a winner-take-all Game 7 in the league's history.
The Game 6 venue and time change fiasco from Thursday in Atlanta is ancient history. Also forgotten is the stress and worry of crowning a champion in Game 6 with the real possibility of having to move the venue for the celebration due to the Atlanta Hawks pending Thursday night game.
Though the WNBA has had some trailblazing players in its history, the current era appears to be its best in terms of talent, marketability, and fan interest and appeal.
The city and some of its premier athletes in other sports have embraced the Valkyries quickly and will get a chance to show off their fandom again next summer when Golden State hosts the WNBA All-Star Game festivities on July 30-31, 2027.
