- NJ Devils Edit MN Wild Star Out of Olympic Photo
Before the Minnesota Wild jumped into the running for a then-disgruntled Quinn Hughes, most around the league thought he'd land in New Jersey where his two younger brothers , Jack (24) and Luke (22), are already on roster.
Fortunately for the Wild, the Devils couldn't get a deal done, and Billy G. swung in at the perfect time , to swipe him out from underneath their fingertips.

Well, now Jack and Quinn are both in Milan, where both will play significant roles for Team USA over the next few weeks at the 2026 Winter Olympics… or will they?

New Jersey Devils social media team did what to Quinn Hughes?
Well, not if New Jersey's' social media team has anything to say about it, apparently. On Monday, the Devils' edited Quinn out of a photo he took with his brother Jack and the two Tkachuk brothers, seemingly trying to erase the eldest Hughes brother from the Olympic picture.
Did the Devils take the picture of the Tkachuk brothers with the Hughes brothers and edit Quinn out? I think they did. What the hell is going on in Jersey. What a bizarre move https://t.co/AEaSAbyQg4 pic.twitter.com/tNhPfNINXy

From what those who pay closer attention to the Devils' socials than me, this is a long-standing bit for between the Devils and Quinn Hughes, though it's not something they have done very recently.
Great joke, guys. Keep it up…
It's a running bit. They just aren't exactly reading the room properly here

Lots of Minnesota Wild on Team USA
Outside of Jonas Brodin, who's injured, and Kirill Kaprizov — who is not allowed to compete because Russia remains banned from the games — most of the Wild's best players are in Milan representing their various countries.

Minnesota has three Americans playing for Team USA and all three are expected to see plenty of ice time. Matt Boldy is battling for second-line minutes, while both Brock Faber and Quinn Hughes will get all the time they can handle on the American blue line.

The Wild acquired Hughes — a 26-year-old defensive superstar — back in December, in a trade that required a ton of young talent going back to Vancouver, in order to get across the finish line. But before he can help pull Minnesota on a deep playoff run, he, his brother and the rest of Team USA will try and win Olympic Gold.
