Kendrick Perkins and Draymond Green are going back and forth with one another again, and Big Perk's latest response was a comprehensive one.
Things had calmed down after their feud a few years ago, but it seems that Kendrick Perkins and Draymond Green are ready for another round of media arguments. It all began when the former Celtics man criticised Green following his ejection against the Phoenix Suns.
Perkins suggested that Draymond is a liability. The four-time champion isn't one to simply take hits like that lying down. He responded on his podcast and called Perkins a 'big dummy' in the process. Now, Perk himself has decided to fire back once again.
Kendrick Perkins asks Draymond Green when he is 'going to grow' and tell him he's not above criticism
While Perkins can at times share some pretty provocative takes in his media appearances, Green has often also gotten away without being sufficiently called out for some of his actions. The Warriors have often protected their unique star, and his behaviour on the court can be a bit too much at times.
Following Draymond's response to his take, Perkins' reply has entailed him calling the Warriors star out with more detail and nuance included.
"You're not above criticism. The only time we mention his name these last few days is him doing something crazy…. You're not the only person that knows how to be a anchor. There's more thing to being an anchor than just hard fouls and being able to get ejected," Perkins said.
"He's not been a great defender this year… Why don't you have a platform where you actually educate the audience on real basketball s***? You seem like a hurt person that uses your platform to go and hurt people… I had a therapist. I grew from it. When are you going to grow from it? If you're going to jump out there and be a leader, then you actually got to lead."
Perkins has touched upon multiple points during his response. While the ESPN man may not have been on Green's level in terms of defensive ability, his comments about Draymond's on-court antics do seem to hold some truth within them. Round two of this beef is well and truly on the grill.
