- Ohio State injury report released for USC game, key players out
The Big Ten has implemented a new injury report protocol this year, so gone is the days of only hearing about Ohio State players that acitve or inactive for the upcoming game. Instead, we get a drop of the availability report multiple times during the week, including the day of the game.
In this case, the Buckeyes ' latest injury report from Friday night has some key members out for the USC game. Most notable is starting nickelback Jay Timmons , who has been downgraded from questionable to doubtful. Starting wide receiver Brandon Inniss is listed as questionable after getting back to action vs. Indiana.

As expected, and what we'll likely see the rest of the year, quarterback Julian Sayin and running back Ja'Kobi Jackson are listed as out. Receiver Brock Boyd is also listed as out Saturday.
Here's a look at the complete injury report.
With Timmons out, Ohio State has moved Jermaine Mathews Jr. to the nickel spot and moved Cam Calhoun outside to corner in previous games. We'll see if that holds, especially since Calhoun was burnt a couple of times against Indiana.
Ohio State and USC will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Saturday night.
