- Oklahoma's Omarion Robinson drops the quote of fall camp
The Oklahoma Sooners are in the midst of fall camp as they are gearing up for the start of the 2026 college football season. The Sooners are hoping this is the year they get back to national championship contention.
One of the players flying under the radar is sophomore safety, Omarion Robinson. He is a former four-star prospect, ranked No. 51 in the country by Rivals . He appeared in nine games last season, totaling three tackles. He's expected to have an increased role this upcoming season. He's expected to be that third safety behind veterans Peyton Bowen and Michael Boganowski.

While he has a ton of potential, the next step for him is turning that potential into production. Robinson certainly doesn't appear to lack confidence or physicality. During fall camp Tuesday, he gave a blunt description of what changes when the pads come on.
"When we are in pads, you know, we're going live, so, excuse my language, but you've got to drop your nuts," Robinson said via Eddie Radosevich on X. "It's time to get dirty now."
The quote quickly made the rounds among Oklahoma fans and media members, but the message behind it is straightforward: Robinson believes the intensity has to rise once players begin practicing in full pads. That's the mentality Oklahoma will need from its young defenders. It's the mentality head coach Brent Venables has established with his teams.
If Robinson can match that confidence with consistent production, he could quickly go from an under-the-radar sophomore to an important piece of the Sooners' defense.
