Ole Miss Rebels head coach Pete Golding delivered a concerning update on star running back Kewan Lacy on Monday.
The injured Rebels rusher is not expected to return for Saturday's matchup against No. 2 Georgia after he missed last week's 45-15 win over Auburn.
Lacy dislocated his left shoulder against Texas on Oct. 24, and Golding said Monday the running back is still rehabbing and not ready to play.
"He's still grinding through it," Golding said. "It's a work in progress, but we're not expecting to have him this week."
Golding made Lacy's injury sound concerning, saying his recovery is not something Ole Miss expects to be solved immediately.
"This isn't something that's just going to happen overnight," Golding said. "He's still working hard at it. Hopefully we'll know sooner than later, but not expecting him this week."
Saturday will mark Lacy's second consecutive missed game and his third absence of the season. Lacy already had surgery on the same shoulder last offseason.

Lacy has rushed 78 times for 388 yards and five touchdowns this season after racking up 1,567 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns in 2025.
Ole Miss used Shekai Mills-Knight as their main running back last Saturday, with the sophomore carrying the ball 16 times for 71 yards and a touchdown. Fellow rusher Makhi Frazier added 56 yards on 17 carries.
The Rebels enter Saturday at 6-2 overall and 4-2 in conference play. Georgia is 7-1 and 5-1. Ole Miss hosts the Bulldogs on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
