The Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears renewed their rivalry on Sunday as they faced off in a Week 14 matchup at Lambeau Field. There has been no shortage of action in the game, with both teams looking to secure a win to make further progress in the playoff race.
There was a certain air of animosity in this NFC North rivalry showdown, and it did not take long before a fight broke out between the players on the field. Multiple players on both sides were involved in a scuffle late in the first half, resulting in a penalty that could warrant potential punishment from the NFL .

Tempers flared between the Packers and the Bears with around four minutes remaining in the second quarter. There were multiple scuffles after Chicago rookie running back Kyle Monangai dived in for a one-yard run.
The incident that caught the referees' attention was a shoving match between Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III and Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon . After a heated confrontation, Nixon can be seen pushing Burden's helmet, which drew an unnecessary roughness penalty against the Packers CB. It resulted in a 15-yard penalty in favor of the Bears, who were able to score a field goal on the drive to cut Green Bay 's lead to 7-3.
The NFL will review this incident and decide whether the players involved will be punished. It will be Nixon who is in the most danger of getting hit with a fine here because he was the one who was flagged on the play.
For context, the NFL fined 22 incidents of unnecessary roughness from Week 13. The penalties ranged from $5,722 for a late hit to a use-of-the-helmet fine of $46,371.
It is worth noting that Burden could also face a fine for his actions here. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was seen having an animated conversation with a referee right after the incident, wherein he appears to allege that Nixon may have been struck during the sequence.
It has been a tightly contested affair in Green Bay thus far. As of writing, the Packers are up 14-3 at halftime.
