- Panthers sign LB Tyrel Dodson to the 53-man roster, waive WR Jimmy Horn
The Panthers are adding a veteran linebacker to their 53-man roster ahead of their Week 2 game against the Falcons.
They announced that they have signed Tyrel Dodson . Dodson signed to the practice squad after being released by the Dolphins at the end of camp and waiting to add him to the active roster after Week 1 means the Panthers avoided guaranteeing his salary for the entire season.

Dodson had 129 tackles, five sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 16 starts for Miami last season.
The Panthers waived wide receiver Jimmy Horn in a corresponding move. The 2025 sixth-round pick had 11 catches last season and muffed a punt in Carolina's Week 1 loss to the Bears.
