Months after those foundational evaluations, these developmental players are now facing an immediate challenge as the team grapples with ongoing protection struggles. As the Patriots prepare for a crucial Thursday Night Football matchup against the Chicago Bears, a report from Mike Giardi on X revealed an intriguing projection from the coaching staff.
When asked whether Caleb Lomu could see time at guard because of offensive line issues, head coach Mike Vrabel responded: "I think that Caleb will have to be ready to go at multiple positions." This suggests the rookie's versatility may be tested sooner rather than later as New England searches for solutions to its frontline problems.
