This Sunday, the New England Patriots welcome the Green Bay Packers and their No.1 passing offense for a highly anticipated AFC-NFC Showdown.
On Wednesday, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was asked about the Packers' quarterback, Jordan Love , and his thoughts on the Green Bay offense.
"Nobody's had more 20-yard pass plays, a quarterback that's really wildly efficient. I mean, he has a few off days, but they're few and far between," said Vrabel.
"I think that, you know, when one of your best players for them is their quarterback or their best player, you know, that's an emphasis that they try to make because when you give him time, you know, he's able to find, you know, [Matthew] Golden or [Christian] Watson or, you know, Tucker Kraft."
Green Bay's Four-Headed Passing-Game Monster
For the Packers, their passing game starts with Jordan Love, who is off to a phenomenal start to the 2026 season. He leads the NFL in passing yards with 2,246 and ranks fourth in touchdowns with 16, with just 6 interceptions.
It also helps Love that he has three dynamic skill-position players: Matthew Golden , Christian Watson , and Tucker Kraft. Through eight games, the trio of pass catchers has combined for nearly 3/4 of Love's yards and has accounted for 13 of Love's touchdowns.
This season, Love has also taken a step forward with his control at the line of scrimmage, which is something Coach Vrabel mentioned later in his press conference, in addition to having to sit to start his career behind Aaron Rodgers .
Sunday Outlook
New England's secondary should be up for the test on Sunday against the Packers. Through 8 games, the Patriots secondary, headlined by Christian Gonzalez , ranks third in Pass EPA in man coverage, showing elite man-to-man lockdown abilities.
Last week against Miami , New England had a fully healthy secondary for the first time since Week 1, and will need every defensive back to be on their A-game to emerge with a home win against the elite Packers passing attack.
