While many expect New England to focus on adding depth with its second-round selection, pick No. 95 could also lead to significant upgrades in its roster.
USA Today's Jacob Camenker published a second- and third-round mock draft on Friday, and he has the Patriots selecting Ohio State cornerback Davison Igbinosun at No. 95.
"The Patriots could use outside cornerback depth behind Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis , the latter of whom will turn 30 during the 2026 NFL season. The 22-year-old Igbinosun is an experienced cornerback who made 53 starts at Ole Miss and Ohio State," Camenker wrote.
"The 6-2, 189-pound cornerback showed well in press coverage – minus his tendency to commit penalties – and has the physicality needed to also be a solid run defender."

If the Patriots manage to secure Igbinosun, he could learn from Davis for a season and then potentially take over the starting role in 2027. This would give Gonzalez a reliable partner for the next five years.
