The New England Patriots announced two roster moves on Wednesday.
They announced that they have signed undrafted free agent defensive tackle Travis Shaw and released long snapper Niko Lalos a week before the start of OTAs.
Shaw played at UNC from 2022-2024 before finishing his collegiate career at Texas in 2025. The North Carolina native recorded 13 total tackles and one tackle for loss last season for the Longhorns.
The Patriots signed Lalos to a one-year, $1 million deal in free agency on March 16. He's played in a total of six games in the NFL, all coming with the New York Giants in the 2020 season.
New England has added several undrafted free agents in recent days and will give Shaw the chance to compete for a role on its defensive line behind defensive tackles Milton Williams and Christian Barmore this offseason.
The Patriots will begin OTAs on May 27.
