Penn State offensive coordinator Taylor Mouser wasn't too pleased with the running game, per Audrey Snyder of Inside the Lions. He also mentioned versatile RB Quinton Martin Jr. , who finished playing for special teams against Temple .
"To say that I'm less than thrilled with where the run game is at would be an understatement," Mouser said during a presser on Tuesday. Feel like there's a lot of growth to be had there. Quinton had a great camp and was good enough to help our football team, and everything is being evaluated to help our pass game better and run game better, and Quinton has earned the right to get touches in the offense."

Martin is expected to get the ball more and be put into situations to score.

A heavily stagnant first half defined the game. The first quarter featured a series of miscues and mistakes. Altogether, the Nittany Lions couldn't generate a run even as they took a 10-3 lead into the half.
Ultimately, they pulled away in the second half, scoring 17 additional points. RB Carson Hansen led the way with 84 yards on 19 carries.
QB Rocco Becht had a solid performance , completing 21 of 27 passes for 268 yards and 3 touchdowns.
As a result, the Nittany Lions are now 2-0 to start the season. Their next game will be at home against Buffalo on Saturday at 11 CST/12:00pm EST.
