Recruiting Rankings
Reggie Grodin was a three star recruit in the class of 2025, who was the No 82 combo guard in the class and the No. 8 player in the state of Massachusetts. After initially committing to Fordham University in 2024, he de-committed and signed with Penn State in May 2025.
Career Stats
While Grodin has not played for Penn State as of yet, during his high school career at both Greenwich Country Day School the Newman School, he had 1,375 career points, 400 rebounds, 204 assists and 140 steals. In his senior year, he averaged around 10 points per game, and shot 68 percent from two point range and 41 percent from beyond the arc.
Projected role in 2026-27
Grodin is one of Penn State's more developmental projects and will be seen as providing depth to the backourt options at Mike Rhoades' disposal. Still, given his similarities with several other bench options, it wouldn't be a surprises if Grodin were given a chance in certain situations to be both a playmaker and elite perimeter shooter. He also has the size to adapt to the Big Ten if needed and most importantly, can learn from the more experienced players on the roster.
Random fact
Grodin went to the same high school as Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell.
