Penta Injury Update: Could WWE Star Return Soon?
WWE star Penta is currently in a race against time to be cleared for a high-profile tag team debut alongside his brother, Rey Fenix, at the upcoming event in Guadalajara on December 20. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Penta's availability for the show is considered "touch-and-go," with internal sources describing his chances of competing as a "50/50" toss-up.
The injury occurred during the November 24 episode of Monday Night Raw. During a quarterfinal match in the "Last Time is Now" tournament against Solo Sikoa, Penta suffered an apparent shoulder injury that has sidelined him from in-ring action for nearly three weeks. The timing of the injury is particularly sensitive as it threatens the Lucha Bros' first scheduled appearance together under the WWE banner.

Providing a glimpse into the recovery process, Dr. Odiseo has been sharing updates via social media regarding Penta's rehabilitation. In a recent Instagram video, the doctor noted that while rehab has yielded positive results over the last two weeks, the final call regarding medical clearance rests entirely with WWE management. Odiseo remained cautiously optimistic, captioning one update with a translated message stating, "Everything will work out.

In additional comments, Dr. Odiseo emphasized the need for patience despite the progress made. "He is on the right path, and we have good results so far. However, we shouldn't get overconfident, and we need to keep working together," he shared. When fans pressed for a definitive answer on whether Penta would be ready by the December 20 deadline, the doctor simply responded, "hope so.

If cleared, Penta is set to join Rey Fenix to reform the Lucha Bros to face the Los Gringos Locos 2.0 pairing of Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano. This match is highly anticipated as it represents a significant cross-promotional moment between WWE and AAA at Guerra de Titanes.
As Penta fights to return to the ring, his scheduled opponent at the Guadalajara event, Dominik Mysterio, is already riding a wave of momentum following a historic victory. Mysterio reclaimed the Intercontinental Championship from John Cena at Survivor Series: WarGames on November 29, ending Cena's short-lived reign.
This weekend, the WWE landscape shifts again as Cena prepares for his final career match against Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13. While the Lucha Bros wait for medical clearance, Dominik continues to establish himself as a focal point of the Raw brand alongside El Grande Americano.
